Due to the water shortage, we’ll put grass in at Pioneer Park next spring instead of this fall. However,
we are starting on the playground and hope to complete it next summer. But that will depend on how much matching money
we can come up with for a RAMP grant…and that’s where you can help. Our park impact fee fund is getting low, so if you’d
like to donate, please come by the city office and sign up.
We’d like to thank the generous donors who’ve contributed so far. They are:

|Pioneer Park Donation Match
Phase 2 of Pioneer Park is now complete. In addition to the bowery/restroom building, we've now
completed the parking lot, half of the grass area, and walking path. In January, we will apply for another RAMP
grant for Phase 3. We hope to finish the grass area and install the playground, ball diamond, and sand volleyball
Thanks so much to everyone who's donated to keep the project going.
If you'd like to help, please pick up a form at the city office and give what you can or download here.

|Pioneer Park Update
Work is beginning on Phase 2 of Pioneer Park. This will include the rest of the parking lot and the
northwest quarter of the grass area. We have put in some of the trees and will soon have new tables. We're currently
working on the signage to acknowledge the donors of these items.
Pioneer Park is located at 4220 W. Pioneer Road. Thanks so much to everyone who's contributed so generously to the park.
An approximation of Phase I is shown below.
We're happy to report that construction at the Town Square is completed and we now have a brand new bowery and restrooms
for Plain City residents to enjoy.
To reserve the bowery, contact the city office at 801-731-4908.
The arena is available on a “first come, first served” basis. Time slots are also available for reservation. Please contact Colette Doxey at 801-941-0168 or call the city office at 801-731-4908 to schedule a time.
This year Plain City received a RAMP grant and purchased new scoreboards for the Lee Olsen Park.
We are currently seeking donations to help with installation costs for the boards. We have received several thousand
dollars and need 4 to 5 thousand more to complete the project. There are opportunities for advertising banners
along with the donations. Contact Colette Doxey at 801 941-0168 for more information.
